Are we able to create a shortcut or app to access our Renaissance website on a Chromebook?
Resolution:
Yes. Google introduced a new feature in Chrome 44 to allow users to create shortcuts for hosted applications in the shelf (task bar) and in the All Apps list. To add a shortcut for Renaissance websites, simply access your site, click on the icon to 'Customize and control Google Chrome' in the upper right (3 horizontal lines or dots), select More Tools, then Create shortcut... Change the name if you wish and click [Create]. If you don't want users to see the browser controls when they access the shortcut, hold down the <Alt> key while you click on the shortcut and choose Open as window from the pop-up menu.
